šŸ•Šļø Chapter 2: An Unholy Proposal

šŸ“– Recap (Chapter 1):

Dr. Ishita Sharma—known as the miracle child and undefeated Medical Goddess—continues to save lives while living a life of peace and precision. Meanwhile, the world’s most feared political force, Aarav Rathore—the Devil King—hears of her refusal to his marriage proposal. She sees him as everything she’s vowed to avoid. But destiny has other plans.

ā€œYou’ve lost your mind, Maa.ā€
Aarav Rathore didn’t even glance up from his encrypted tablet.

Across from him sat Rajeshwari Rathore, India’s former queen of politics, wrapped in a simple ivory saree with pearls that held centuries of power.

ā€œIshita Sharma is not just a doctor. She’s a sign. A divine answer to this generation’s war between dharma and dominance.ā€

ā€œShe’s a glorified healer.ā€

ā€œShe’s a warrior with a white coat. And you're a king with blood on your hands. You both balance each other, Aarav.ā€

šŸ“ Ishita’s World – An Ashram Above the Noise

Ishita stood barefoot on the stone floors of a peaceful ashram in Rishikesh, surrounded by incense smoke and women singing healing chants.

Beside her, Dr. Meera Sharma, her adoptive mother and head of the all-women healing ashram, stirred Ayurvedic herbs into a golden mix.

ā€œThey sent another rishta?ā€ Ishita asked quietly, not looking up from the scroll in her lap.

ā€œYes. From Rajeshwari Rathore, no less.ā€ Meera’s tone was calm, steady, like the Himalayas around them.

ā€œI am not a chess piece, Maa.ā€

ā€œYou're not. But karma sometimes knocks in strange disguises.ā€

šŸ“ An Unexpected Visit – The Matriarch Arrives

In the sacred meditation hall, Guru Vaidya Ishwaranand—the man who raised Ishita in mind, body, and soul—poured two cups of tulsi tea as Rajeshwari Rathore arrived in silence.

ā€œShe won't say yes,ā€ he said to the former CM.

Rajeshwari raised an eyebrow. ā€œThen I will ask her soul, not her mouth.ā€

From the shadowed corridor, Dr. Kabir Sharma, Ishita’s reserved but sharp cousin, watched protectively. He didn’t trust politicians. Especially ones with palaces.

šŸ“ Garden of Fire – When Queens Meet

Ishita, in a beige cotton kurti and bare feet, faced Rajeshwari Rathore, who sat like a queen reborn among blooming marigolds.

ā€œYou want me to marry the Devil King?ā€
ā€œI want you to challenge him.ā€
ā€œHe rules through fear.ā€
ā€œAnd you rule through faith. Together, you’ll either destroy each other—or heal the world.ā€

Ishita’s eyes didn’t blink.
ā€œAnd if I refuse?ā€

Rajeshwari smiled softly.
ā€œThen destiny will come back… louder.ā€

šŸ“ That Night – A Storm, A Prayer

Ishita sat before her small temple, next to the photo of her birth parents she had never known. Dr. Meera stood behind her silently, while Guruji lit a diya and whispered:

ā€œSometimes, it’s not about choosing the path… It’s about recognizing when the path has chosen you.ā€

Outside, thunder cracked across the sky. The blood moon shone red.

Far away in Udaipur, Aarav Rathore looked up at the same moon and said coldly:

ā€œSo the Medical Goddess thinks she can say no to meā€¦ā€
He smirked.
ā€œLet’s see how long that lasts.ā€
